Attractions
The Burlington area has a lot to offer visitors. The downtown marketplace features many fine stores and restaurants. The waterfront, highlighted by the Community Boathouse, hosts food and music festivals and provides access to boat rentals, tour boats, and a lake-side bike path. The South End Arts District is home to several craft brewers, artists’ studios, and an eclectic mix of tech, light manufacturing, and retail establishments. The annual Art Hop is just a short roll down the street from the Howard Street Guest House.
Burlington is home to the University of Vermont and Champlain College. In addition, many of Vermont’s most popular attractions are just a short drive away, including Stowe, Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, and Ben and Jerry’s Factory. There are a wide variety of recreational activities and sporting events available on Lake Champlain and in the nearby Green Mountains.
As it was once said, ”Burlington — there’s a festival for everything!”
